OnePlan for your Team: Better Collaboration for Event Site Planning

Collaboration has always been a core element of how to plan event sites in our platform, and we’re delighted to share that new OnePlan now provides a better way than ever to plan as a team.

The Team package is now available for anyone who plans events with other people – whether that’s with your event team, assistants, suppliers, security services or any event stakeholder. It gives you a Team Workspace where you can assign permissions to different people in your team, and means everyone in your team can edit your events together in real-time.

Easy for large teams to collaborate on event plans

The OnePlan Team package benefits teams of all sizes. You can have up to 10 users in your Team, and update their permission settings at any time, easily within the Settings menu.

Teams benefit from the ability to collaborate in real-time, making their event site planning more efficient. For larger teams such as Silverstone, home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, OnePlan’s team collaboration tools mean that everyone who needs to can edit and view the plans. Planning as a team saves them time and money, as they plan over 30 events per year.

James Loveridge, Senior Event Manager at Silverstone, says:: “The team has seen great success using OnePlan for our venue planning, with an estimated 13x return on investment.”

Ideal for small teams planning events

The same efficiency benefit is true for smaller teams too. With our new Team package, smaller teams of 3 people or more, can collaborate in their Team Workspace with the same features as larger teams, including the ability for anyone in the team to edit the plans.

US event Festival Foods is a good example of this. Its Senior Director of Community Involvement, Brian Stenzel, says: “A few of us actively build and edit in OnePlan. We pull up the menu, go to the Search bar and find what we need. It’s easy.”

The Guernsey Together festival also plans more efficiently as a team for its outdoor sites. Event organizer Alex Lock told us: “As an organizing team we’re able to work far more productively thanks to OnePlan, due to the reduction of questions being asked. It saves us time moving things around.”

Advanced collaboration tools for your event site planning

The new version of OnePlan now has multiple collaboration tools to cover your event site planning needs. The Team package gives you the ability to set different hierarchical permissions within your team, with Team Members able to edit event plans, Team Admin able to do this and change access permissions, and Team Owner also having responsibility for subscription billing.

Anyone can be added into someone else’s Team. They’ll receive an email to join the team and then have access to all the events within that Team.

OnePlan users on Pro and Team packages can also share their plans with View-only access to anyone they want via a link. And all users can Export their site plans as a file, with some packages enabling A0 size print quality.

Teams can also benefit from the ability in OnePlan to import existing layouts and floor plans files you may have. Easily upload these onto your map and plan on top of them by placing objects, areas and routes as normal.

How do I upgrade to a Team account in OnePlan?

It’s easy to upgrade to a team account and start planning with up to 10 people in your team. To do this, in app.oneplan.io click into your settings in the top right corner of the screen, then choose ‘Subscription Plans’ and select the ‘Team’ option.

We’re continuing to add more features soon to new OnePlan, including for the Team Workspace, and will share these on the Product Updates page of our website.
